FAQs

Once the auction has finished, any unsold lots may be purchased at the reserve price.

We will often take any lots requested to a stamp fair that we attend. Usually these are York (January and July) and Stampex (September). It may also be possible to view lots in Poole, by prior arrangement, or have lots sent by mail, in certain circumstances. We also can supply additional scans, although we always use high resolution scans and supply accurate condition reports.

We 100% guarantee that you will always win a lot at one bid above the next highest bid, and no more. For example, if you bid £120 on a lot reserved at £80, and no-one else bids, you will win the lot at £80. If someone bids £95, you will win it at £100 – the next step up. Always happy to provide the bid step results if requested.

Generally speaking, bids below reserve will not be accepted but may be considered after the auction, and you will be notified if successful.

Yes, please just specify your budget with your bids, we will stop your bids once the limit has been reached. Alternatively, contact us prior to the sale so that we can also work out a payment schedule to suit your budget.

Usually once payment has been made, lots are posted out within three working days – so very quickly. Overseas orders may of course take longer depending on where you live.
