Envelope with hand drawn design of a train in a tunnel and a man being chased. Franked with 1d Lilac tied to a scarce Picardy Belvedere 412 duplex of 12 July 1885. Contents from a schoolboy to his sister Floss in Sheffield. Illustrated letter within. Talk of a ‘good dinner of Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding. Black and Red Currant Pie. and for dessert strawberries. cherries. red and white currants’. Sounds a good school (Boston Hill Abbey Wood)! Pictures of animals and a circus performer om a horse etc. Wonderful item.
