Description
A very good used 1d Pink postal stationery envelope sent from London to Stow-on-the-Wold, uprated with an 1841 1d Red lettered GJ and cancelled by a London numeral. Backstamped MORETON IN MARSH July 1847. The additional postage would have been applied to cover a letter weighing more than 1/2 ounce (but less than 1 ounce). Some scuffing and foxing.
