A fine used 1843 1d Red Brown from plate 30 lettered ME cancelled by a distinct KENDAL Maltese Cross with dot in outer loop on cover to Ulverstone. On reverse a large blue-green KENDAL CDS ‘MA 6/1843‘ and large blue-green ULVERSTONE CDS ‘MR 7/1843‘. With contents. Letter dated March 6th 1843 – so mistake on Kendal CDS!
